Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Hexokinase catalyzes the conversion of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate, the first step in glycolysis. Four distinct mammalian hexokinase isoforms, designated as hexokinase I, II, III, and IV (glucokinase), have been identified. Hexokinases I, II, and III are associated with the outer mitochondrial membrane and are critical for maintaining an elevated rate of aerobic glycolysis in cancer cells (Warburg Effect) (1) in order to compensate for the increased energy demands associated with rapid cell growth and proliferation (2,3).

Antigen:A synthesized peptide derived from human ABCG1

Antigen Synonyms:

Clonality:Polyclonal antibody

Source:

Reaction:ABCG1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ABCG1

Nucleotide Accession:

Tissue specificity:ABCG1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ABCG1

Storage:Store at +4°C short term. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.

Buffer condition:Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline , pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Background:Functions to regulate cholesterol and phospholipid transport in macrophages. ABCG1 is highly expressed in several tissues, including brain, spleen, lung and placenta, and has been localized to the cell surface and intracellular compartments of cholesterol-laden macrophages.

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
