Gene Full Name:actinin alpha 3 (gene/pseudogene)

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the alpha-actin binding protein gene family. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle and functions as a structural component of sarcomeric Z line. This protein is involved in crosslinking actin containing thin filaments. An allelic polymorphism in this gene results in both coding and non-coding variants; the reference genome represents the coding allele. The non-functional allele of this gene is associated with elite athlete status. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 580-630 of human ACTN3 (NP_001095.2).

Antigen Synonyms:Alpha-actinin-3

Tissue specificity:Expressed only in a subset of type 2 skeletal muscle fibers.

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:F-actin cross-linking protein which is thought to anchor actin to a variety of intracellular structures. This is a bundling protein.RegionsFeature keyPosition(s)Description

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
