Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a glycoprotein, belonging to the pentraxin family of proteins, which has acharacteristic pentameric organization. These family members haveconsiderable sequence homology which is thought to be the result ofgene duplication. The binding of the encoded protein to proteins inthe pathological amyloid cross-beta fold suggests its possible roleas a chaperone. This protein is also thought to control thedegradation of chromatin. It has been demonstrated that thisprotein binds to apoptotic cells at an early stage, which raisesthe possibility that it is involved in dealing with apoptotic cellsin vivo.

Antigen:Purified His-tagged APCS protein(Fragment) was used to produced this monoclonal antibody.

Storage:

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
