Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The Axin-related protein, Axin2, presumably plays animportant role in the regulation of the stability of beta-cateninin the Wnt signaling pathway, like its rodent homologs, mouseconductin/rat axil. In mouse, conductin organizes a multiproteincomplex of APC (adenomatous polyposis of the colon), beta-catenin,glycogen synthase kinase 3-beta, and conductin, which leads to thedegradation of beta-catenin. Apparently, the deregulation ofbeta-catenin is an important event in the genesis of a number ofmalignancies. The AXIN2 gene has been mapped to 17q23-q24, a regionthat shows frequent loss of heterozygosity in breast cancer, neuroblastoma, and other tumors. Mutations in this gene have beenassociated with colorectal cancer with defective mismatch repair.

Antigen:This AXIN2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 816-843 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human AXIN2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
