Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:Required for RNA-mediated gene silencing (RNAi) by the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). Can also upregulate the translation of specific mRNAs under certain growth conditions. Binds to the AU element of the 3-UTR of the TNF (TNF-alpha) mRNA and upregulates translation under conditions of serum starvation. Also required for transcriptional gene silencing (TGS), in which short RNAs known as antigene RNAs or agRNAs direct the transcriptional repression of complementary promoter regions.
Antigen:A synthesized peptide derived from human Argonaute 2
Antigen Synonyms:
Clonality:Polyclonal antibody
Source:
Reaction:Argonaute 2 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Argonaute 2

Background:Required for RNA-mediated gene silencing (RNAi) by the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). Can also upregulate the translation of specific mRNAs under certain growth conditions. Binds to the AU element of the 3'-UTR of the TNF (TNF-alpha) mRNA and upregulates translation under conditions of serum starvation. Also required for transcriptional gene silencing (TGS), in which short RNAs known as antigene RNAs or agRNAs direct the transcriptional repression of complementary promoter regions.
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
