Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes the cytosolic form of the enzymebranched-chain amino acid transaminase. This enzyme catalyzes thereversible transamination of branched-chain alpha-keto acids tobranched-chain L-amino acids essential for cell growth. Twodifferent clinical disorders have been attributed to a defect ofbranched-chain amino acid transamination: hypervalinemia andhyperleucine-isoleucinemia. As there is also a gene encoding amitochondrial form of this enzyme, mutations in either gene maycontribute to these disorders. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants have been described.

Antigen:This BCAT1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 81-107 amino acids from the Central region of human BCAT1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
