Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:2,3-diphosphoglycerate (2,3-DPG) is a small molecule foundat high concentrations in red blood cells where it binds to anddecreases the oxygen affinity of hemoglobin. This gene encodes amultifunctional enzyme that catalyzes 2,3-DPG synthesis via itssynthetase activity, and 2,3-DPG degradation via its phosphataseactivity. The enzyme also has phosphoglycerate phosphomutaseactivity. Deficiency of this enzyme increases the affinity of cellsfor oxygen. Mutations in this gene result in hemolytic anemia.Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
Antigen:This BPGM antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 230-259 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human BPGM.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
