Background:

Molar Function:Brain and reproductive organ-expressed protein (BRE) is a 415 amino acid protein which binds to the intracellular juxtamembrane domain of the death receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNF-R1). BRE also binds to the death receptor, FAS. BRE downregulates TNFa-induced activation of NFkB and may play a role in homeostasis or cellular differentiation in cells of epithelial, neural and germ line origins. It inhibits components of the death-inducing signaling complexes that are necessary for activation of the mitochondria, thereby mediating apoptosis. BRE is strongly expressed in the adrenal cortex, medulla, testis and pancreas, and is weakly expressed in the thymus, thyroid, stomach and small intestine.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
