Gene Infomation:The CD320 antigen gene encodes the transcobalamin receptor(TCBLR). Cellular uptake of cobalamin (vitamin B12) is mediated byreceptors expressed on the cell surface. Transcobalamin II (TCN2;MIM 613441), a plasma protein secreted by endothelial cells, bindsthe cobalamin absorbed in the distal ileum and carries 10 to 30% oftotal circulating cobalamin. CD320 encodes a transcobalaminreceptor that binds TCN2-cobalamin at the plasma membrane andinternalizes the complex by endocytosis (Quadros et al., 2009[PubMed 18779389]).

Antigen:This CD320 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 153-182 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CD320.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed.
