Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a type I membrane protein that is amember of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressedby antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteinsat the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxicT-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein withCD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of theT-cell. Binding of this protein with cytotoxicT-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 negatively regulates T-cellactivation and diminishes the immune response. Alternative splicingresults in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.Additional transcript variants have been described, but theirfull-length sequences have not been determined. [provided byRefSeq].

Antigen:This CD86 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 269-298 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CD86.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
