Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Elastases form a subfamily of serine proteases thathydrolyze many proteins in addition to elastin. Humans have sixelastase genes which encode the structurally similar proteinselastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. Unlike other elastases, pancreatic elastase 1 is not expressed in the pancreas. To date, elastase 1 expression has only been detected in skin keratinocytes.Clinical literature that describes human elastase 1 activity in thepancreas or fecal material is actually referring tochymotrypsin-like elastase family, member 3B.

Antigen:This CELA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 51-79 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CELA1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
