Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes component A of the RAB geranylgeranyltransferase holoenzyme. In the dimeric holoenzyme, this subunitbinds unprenylated Rab GTPases and then presents them to thecatalytic Rab GGTase subunit for the geranylgeranyl transferreaction. Rab GTPases need to be geranylgeranyled on either one ortwo cysteine residues in their C-terminus to localize to thecorrect intracellular membrane. Mutations in this gene are a causeof choroideremia; also known as tapetochoroidal dystrophy (TCD).This X-linked disease is characterized by progressive dystrophy ofthe choroid, retinal pigment epithelium and retina. Alternativesplicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding differentisoforms.

Antigen:This CHM antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 292-320 amino acids from the Central region of human CHM.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
