Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a transmembrane protein belonging to afamily of proteins containing TLC domains, which are postulated tofunction in lipid synthesis, transport, or sensing. The proteinlocalizes to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and may recyclebetween the ER and ER-Golgi intermediate compartment. Mutations inthis gene are associated with progressive epilepsy with mentalretardation (EMPR), which is a subtype of neuronal ceroidlipofuscinoses (NCL). Patients with mutations in this gene havealtered levels of sphingolipid and phospholipids in the brain.
Antigen:This CLN8 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 251-280 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CLN8.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
