Gene Full Name:component of oligomeric golgi complex 2

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a subunit of the conserved oligomeric Golgi complex that is required for maintaining normal structure and activity of the Golgi complex. The encoded protein specifically interacts with the USO1 vesicle docking protein and may be necessary for normal Golgi ribbon formation and trafficking of Golgi enzymes. Mutations of this gene are associated with abnormal glycosylation within the Golgi apparatus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-280 of human COG2 (NP_031383.1).

Antigen Synonyms:Conserved oligomeric Golgi complex subunit 2

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Required for normal Golgi morphology and function.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
