Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:COL6A2 is one of the three alpha chains of type VIcollagen, a beaded filament collagen found in most connectivetissues. The product of this gene contains several domains similarto von Willebrand Factor type A domains. These domains have beenshown to bind extracellular matrix proteins, an interaction thatexplains the importance of this collagen in organizing matrixcomponents. Mutations in this gene are associated with Bethlemmyopathy and Ullrich scleroatonic muscular dystrophy. Threetranscript variants have been identified for this gene. [providedby RefSeq].

Antigen:This COL6A2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 719-747 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human COL6A2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
