Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Cytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal enzyme of themitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transferfrom reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. It is a heteromeric complexconsisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genesand multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. Themitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, andthe nuclear-encoded subunits may be involved in the regulation andassembly of the complex. This nuclear gene encodes subunit VIb.Mutations in this gene are associated with severe infantileencephalomyopathy. Three pseudogenes COX6BP-1, COX6BP-2 andCOX6BP-3 have been found on chromosomes 7, 17 and 22q13.1-13.2,respectively.

Antigen:This COX6B1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 59-86 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human COX6B1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
