Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thesomatotropin/prolactin family of hormones which play an importantrole in growth control. The gene, along with four other relatedgenes, is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17where they are interspersed in the same transcriptionalorientation; an arrangement which is thought to have evolved by aseries of gene duplications. Although the five genes share aremarkably high degree of sequence identity, they are expressedselectively in different tissues. This particular family member isexpressed in placental villi, although it was originally thought tobe a pseudogene. In fact, alternative splicing suggests that themajority of the transcripts would be unable to express a secretedprotein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingdifferent isoforms have been identified.
Antigen:This CSHL1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 156-185 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CSHL1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
