Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a protein that binds to the C-terminusof adenovirus E1A proteins. This phosphoprotein is atranscriptional repressor and may play a role during cellularproliferation. This protein and the product of a second closelyrelated gene, CTBP2, can dimerize. Both proteins can also interactwith a polycomb group protein complex which participates inregulation of gene expression during development. Alternativesplicing of transcripts from this gene results in multipletranscript variants.

Antigen:This CTBP1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 413-440 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CTBP1.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
