Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is part of a complex ofproteins that constitute adherens junctions (AJs). AJs arenecessary for the creation and maintenance of epithelial celllayers by regulating cell growth and adhesion between cells. Theencoded protein also anchors the actin cytoskeleton and may beresponsible for transmitting the contact inhibition signal thatcauses cells to stop dividing once the epithelial sheet iscomplete. Finally, this protein binds to the product of the APCgene, which is mutated in adenomatous polyposis of the colon.Mutations in this gene are a cause of colorectal cancer (CRC),pilomatrixoma (PTR), medulloblastoma (MDB), and ovarian cancer.Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been foundfor this gene.

Antigen:This CTNNB1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 723-751 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CTNNB1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
