Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins aremonooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drugmetabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the endoplasmicreticulum and its expression is induced by some polycyclic aromatichydrocarbons (PAHs), some of which are found in cigarette smoke. The enzyme's endogenous substrate is unknown; however, it is ableto metabolize some PAHs to carcinogenic intermediates. Otherxenobiotic substrates for this enzyme include caffeine, aflatoxinB1, and acetaminophen. The transcript from this gene contains fourAlu sequences flanked by direct repeats in the 3' untranslatedregion.

Antigen:This CYP1A2 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 255-282 amino acids from human CYP1A2.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
