Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins aremonooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drugmetabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and itsexpression is induced by rifampin. The enzyme is known tometabolize many xenobiotics, including phenytoin, tolbutamide, ibuprofen and S-warfarin. Studies identifying individuals who arepoor metabolizers of phenytoin and tolbutamide suggest that thisgene is polymorphic. The gene is located within a cluster ofcytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 10q24.

Antigen:This CYP2C9 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 82-110 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CYP2C9.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
