Gene Infomation:ACC1 a subunit of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), a multifunctional enzyme system. Catalyzes the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) catalyzes the pivotal step of the fatty acid synthesis pathway. The 265 kDa ACCα (ACC1) is the predominant isoform found in liver, adipocytes, and mammary gland, while the 280 kDa ACCβ (ACC2) is the major isoform in skeletal muscle and heart. Phosphorylation by AMPK at Ser79 or by PKA at Ser1200 inhibits the enzymatic activity of ACC. ACC is a potential target of anti-obesity drugs.

Background:Thiol protease that cleaves IL-1 beta between an Asp and an Ala, releasing the mature cytokine which is involved in a variety of inflammatory processes. Important for defense against pathogens. Cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs). Can also promote apoptosis.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
