Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of the DAZ gene family and is acandidate for the human Y-chromosomal azoospermia factor (AZF). Itsexpression is restricted to premeiotic germ cells, particularly inspermatogonia. It encodes an RNA-binding protein that is importantfor spermatogenesis. Four copies of this gene are found onchromosome Y within palindromic duplications; one pair of genes ispart of the P2 palindrome and the second pair is part of the P1palindrome. Each gene contains a 2.4 kb repeat including a 72-bpexon, called the DAZ repeat; the number of DAZ repeats is variableand there are several variations in the sequence of the DAZ repeat. Each copy of the gene also contains a 10.8 kb region that may beamplified; this region includes five exons that encode an RNArecognition motif (RRM) domain. This gene contains one copy of the10.8 kb repeat. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcriptvariants encoding different isoforms.

Antigen:This DAZ2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 518-546 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human DAZ2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
