Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a 50-kD subunit of dynactin, amacromolecular complex consisting of 10-11 subunits ranging in sizefrom 22 to 150 kD. Dynactin binds to both microtubules andcytoplasmic dynein. It is involved in a diverse array of cellularfunctions, including ER-to-Golgi transport, the centripetalmovement of lysosomes and endosomes, spindle formation, chromosomemovement, nuclear positioning, and axonogenesis. This subunit ispresent in 4-5 copies per dynactin molecule. It contains threeshort alpha-helical coiled-coil domains that may mediateassociation with self or other dynactin subunits. It may interactdirectly with the largest subunit (p150) of dynactin and may affixp150 in place.
Antigen:This DCTN2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 192-219 amino acids from the Central region of human DCTN2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
