Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The unusual amino acid hypusine is formedposttranslationally and is only found in a single cellular protein, eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A. In the first step ofhypusine biosynthesis, deoxyhypusine synthase catalyzes theNAD-dependent transfer of the butylamine moiety of spermidine tothe epsilon-amino group of a specific lysine residue of the EIF5Aprecursor protein to form the intermediate deoxyhypusine residue. This gene consists of nine exons spanning 6.6 kb. Three transcriptvariants have been isolated. However, only transcript variant 1encodes an active protein. The shorter variants may act asmodulating factors of DHPS activity.

Antigen:This DHPS antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 16-43 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human DHPS.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
