Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a protein with multiple coiled coilmotifs which is located in the nucleus, cytoplasm and mitochondria. The protein is involved in neurite outgrowth and corticaldevelopment through its interaction with other proteins. This geneis disrupted in a t(1;11)(q42.1;q14.3) translocation whichsegregates with schizophrenia and related psychiatric disorders ina large Scottish family. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided byRefSeq].
Antigen:This DISC1 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 701-728 amino acids from human DISC1.

Storage:
Buffer condition:Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Euglobin precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
