Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a serine-threoninekinase that is closely related to other kinases that interact withmembers of the Rho family of small GTPases. Substrates for thisenzyme include myogenin, the beta-subunit of the L-type calciumchannels, and phospholemman. The 3' untranslated region of thisgene contains 5-37 copies of a CTG trinucleotide repeat. Expansionof this unstable motif to 50-5,000 copies causes myotonic dystrophytype I, which increases in severity with increasing repeat elementcopy number. Repeat expansion is associated with condensation oflocal chromatin structure that disrupts the expression of genes inthis region. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants ofthis gene have been described, but the full-length nature of someof these variants has not been determined.
Antigen:This DMPK antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 11-39 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human DMPK.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
