Gene Full Name:DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C5

Gene Infomation:This gene is a member of the J protein family. J proteins function in many cellular processes by regulating the ATPase activity of 70 kDa heat shock proteins. The encoded protein plays a role in membrane trafficking and protein folding, and has been shown to have anti-neurodegenerative properties. The encoded protein is known to play a role in cystic fibrosis and Huntington's disease. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 8. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-198 of human DNAJC5 (NP_079495.1).

Antigen Synonyms:DnaJ homolog subfamily C member 5

Tissue specificity:Expressed in pancreas, kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, lung, placenta, brain and heart.

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Acts as a general chaperone in regulated exocytosis . Acts as a co-chaperone for the SNARE protein SNAP-25 . Involved in the calcium-mediated control of a late stage of exocytosis . May have an important role in presynaptic function. May be involved in calcium-dependent neurotransmitter release at nerve endings .

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
