Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes the D4 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D4 subtype is a G-protein coupled receptor which inhibitsadenylyl cyclase. It is a target for drugs which treatschizophrenia and Parkinson disease. Mutations in this gene havebeen associated with various behavioral phenotypes, includingautonomic nervous system dysfunction, attentiondeficit/hyperactivity disorder, and the personality trait ofnovelty seeking. This gene contains a polymorphic number (2-10copies) of tandem 48 nt repeats; the sequence shown contains fourrepeats.

Antigen:This DRD4 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 365-391 amino acids from the Central region of human DRD4.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
