Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions between epithelial, myocardial and certain other cell types. Desmoglein 1 is acalcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of desmosomesin vertebrate epithelial cells. Currently, three desmogleinsubfamily members have been identified and all are members of thecadherin cell adhesion molecule superfamily. These desmoglein genefamily members are located in a cluster on chromosome 18. Theprotein encoded by this gene has been identified as the autoantigenof the autoimmune skin blistering disease pemphigus foliaceus.

Antigen:This DSG1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 471-499 amino acids from the Central region of human DSG1.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
