Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:EHMT1, also known as EUHMTASE1, is a histone methyltransferase. This protein methylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3 in vitro. H3 'Lys-9' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression by recruiting HP1 proteins to methylated histones. EHMT1 is Probably targeted to histone H3 by different DNA-binding proteins like E2F6, MGA, MAX and/or DP1. During G0 phase, it probably contributes to silencing of MYC- and E2F-responsive genes, suggesting a role in the G0/G1 transition of the cell cycle.
Antigen:This EHMT1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 203-233 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human EHMT1.

Storage:
Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
