Gene Full Name:E74 like ETS transcription factor 1
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes an E26 transformation-specific related transcription factor. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in lymphoid cells and acts as both an enhancer and a repressor to regulate transcription of various genes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]
Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-210 of human ELF1 (NP_758961.1).
Antigen Synonyms:ETS-related transcription factor Elf-1

Tissue specificity:In fetal tissues, it is highly expressed in heart, lung liver and kidney, and weakly expressed in brain. In adult, it is highly expressed in pancreas, spleen, thymus and peripheral blood leukocytes, expressed at moderate levels in heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, prostate, ovary, small intestine and colon, and weakly expressed in brain and testis.
Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.
Background:
Molar Function:Transcription factor that activates the LYN and BLK promoters. Appears to be required for the T-cell-receptor-mediated trans activation of HIV-2 gene expression. Binds specifically to two purine-rich motifs in the HIV-2 enhancer.
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
