Gene Full Name:ELMO domain containing 2

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes one of six engulfment and motility (ELMO) domain-containing proteins. This gene is thought to play a role in antiviral responses. Mutations in this gene may be involved in the cause of familial idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 5-95 of human ELMOD2 (NP_714913.1).

Antigen Synonyms:ELMO domain-containing protein 2

Clonality:Polyclonal antibody

Tissue specificity:Alveolar cells (morphologically type II cells) and alveolar macrophages (at protein level). Expressed in brain, colon, heart, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, placenta, small intestine, spleen, stomach and testis. In lung it is expressed in alveolar macrophages and alveolar walls.

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) toward guanine nucleotide exchange factors like ARL2, ARL3, ARF1 and ARF6, but not for GTPases outside the Arf family. Regulates IFN-related antiviral responses.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
