Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:This gene encodes the adenovirus E1A-associated cellularp300 transcriptional co-activator protein. It functions as histoneacetyltransferase that regulates transcription via chromatinremodeling and is important in the processes of cell proliferationand differentiation. It mediates cAMP-gene regulation by bindingspecifically to phosphorylated CREB protein. This gene has alsobeen identified as a co-activator of HIF1A (hypoxia-induciblefactor 1 alpha), and thus plays a role in the stimulation ofhypoxia-induced genes such as VEGF. Defects in this gene are acause of Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome and may also play a role inepithelial cancer.

Antigen:This EP300 Antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S1834 of human EP300.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by two-step phosphospecific peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
