Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a carcinoma-associated antigen and is amember of a family that includes at least two type I membraneproteins. This antigen is expressed on most normal epithelial cellsand gastrointestinal carcinomas and functions as a homotypiccalcium-independent cell adhesion molecule. The antigen is beingused as a target for immunotherapy treatment of human carcinomas.Mutations in this gene result in congenital tufting enteropathy.

Antigen:This EpCAM antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 200-229 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human EpCAM.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
