Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the productionof geranyl pyrophosphate and farnesyl pyrophosphate fromisopentenyl pyrophosphate and dimethylallyl pyrophosphate. Theresulting product, farnesyl pyrophosphate, is a key intermediate incholesterol and sterol biosynthesis, a substrate for proteinfarnesylation and geranylgeranylation, and a ligand or agonist forcertain hormone receptors and growth receptors. Drugs that inhibitthis enzyme prevent the post-translational modifications of smallGTPases and have been used to treat diseases related to boneresorption. Multiple pseudogenes have been found on chromosomes 1,7, 14, 15, 21 and X. Multiple transcript variants encodingdifferent isoforms have been found for this gene.
Antigen:This FDPS antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 54-82 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human FDPS.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
