Tissue specificity:Expressed in thymus, testis, small intestine, colon followed by ovary. Appears to be expressed only in adult organs containing proliferating/cycling cells or in response to growth factors. Also expressed in epithelial cell lines derived from tumors. Not expressed in resting cells. Isoform 2 is highly expressed in testis.

Background:

Molar Function:Transcriptional factor regulating the expression of cell cycle genes essential for DNA replication and mitosis. Plays a role in the control of cell proliferation. Plays also a role in DNA breaks repair participating in the DNA damage checkpoint response.

Western Blot: 

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
