Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the bonemorphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily. This group of proteins is characterized by a polybasic proteolyticprocessing site which is cleaved to produce a mature proteincontaining seven conserved cysteine residues. The members of thisfamily are regulators of cell growth and differentiation in bothembryonic and adult tissues. Mutations in this gene are associatedwith acromesomelic dysplasia, Hunter-Thompson type; brachydactyly, type C; and chondrodysplasia, Grebe type. These associationsconfirm that the gene product plays a role in skeletal development.
Antigen:This GDF5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 343-371 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GDF5.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
