Gene Infomation:The product of this gene is part of a large complexlocalized to the cytoplasm, nucleoli, and to discrete nuclearbodies called Gemini bodies (gems). The complex functions inspliceosomal snRNP assembly in the cytoplasm, and regeneratesspliceosomes required for pre-mRNA splicing in the nucleus. Theencoded protein directly interacts with a DEAD box protein andseveral spliceosome core proteins. Alternatively spliced transcriptvariants have been described, but their biological validity has notbeen determined.

Antigen:This GEMIN4 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 273-301 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GEMIN4.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
