Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:GJC2 is a gap junction protein. Gap junctionproteins are members of a large family of homologous connexins andcomprise 4 transmembrane, 2 extracellular, and 3 cytoplasmicdomains. This gene plays a key role in central myelination and isinvolved in peripheral myelination in humans. Defects in this geneare the cause of autosomal recessive Pelizaeus-Merzbacher-likedisease-1.

Antigen:This GJC2 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 53-78 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human GJC2.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
