Gene Infomation:The HIRA protein shares sequence similarity with Hir1pand Hir2p, the two corepressors of histone gene transcriptioncharacterized in the yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae.Thestructural features of the HIRA protein suggest that it mayfunction as part of a multiprotein complex.Recently, severalcDNAs encoding HIRA-interacting proteins, or HIRIPs, have beenidentified.In vitro, the HIRIP3 gene product binds HIRA, as wellas H2B and H3 core histones, indicating that a complex containingHIRA-HIRIP3 could function in some aspects of chromatin and histonemetabolism.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
