Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:HLA-B belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chainand a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain isanchored in the membrane. Class I molecules play a central role inthe immune system by presenting peptides derived from theendoplasmic reticulum lumen. They are expressed in nearly allcells. The heavy chain is approximately 45 kDa and its genecontains 8 exons. Exon 1 encodes the leader peptide, exon 2 and 3encode the alpha1 and alpha2 domains, which both bind the peptide, exon 4 encodes the alpha3 domain, exon 5 encodes the transmembraneregion and exons 6 and 7 encode the cytoplasmic tail. Polymorphismswithin exon 2 and exon 3 are responsible for the peptide bindingspecificity of each class one molecule. Typing for thesepolymorphisms is routinely done for bone marrow and kidneytransplantation. Hundreds of HLA-B alleles have been described.

Antigen:This HLA-B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 182-208 amino acids from the Central region of human HLA-B.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.

Background:

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
