Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a protein that belongs to thenon-histone chromosomal high mobility group (HMG) protein family.HMG proteins function as architectural factors and are essentialcomponents of the enhancesome. This protein contains structuralDNA-binding domains and may act as a transcriptional regulatingfactor. Identification of the deletion, amplification, andrearrangement of this gene that are associated with myxoidliposarcoma suggests a role in adipogenesis and mesenchymaldifferentiation. A gene knock out study of the mouse counterpartdemonstrated that this gene is involved in diet-induced obesity.Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding differentisoforms, have been characterized.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
