Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:In mammals, histamine is metabolized by two majorpathways: N(tau)-methylation via histamine N-methyltransferase andoxidative deamination via diamine oxidase. This gene encodes thefirst enzyme which is found in the cytosol and usesS-adenosyl-L-methionine as the methyl donor. In the mammalianbrain, the neurotransmitter activity of histamine is controlled byN(tau)-methylation as diamine oxidase is not found in the centralnervous system. A common genetic polymorphism affects the activitylevels of this gene product in red blood cells. Multiplealternatively spliced transcript variants that encode differentproteins have been found for this gene.
Antigen:Purified His-tagged HNMT protein(Fragment) was used to produced this monoclonal antibody.

Storage:
Buffer condition:Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
