Isotype:Rabbit IgG
Host:Rabbit
Application:WB,IHC
Purify method:Affinity purified
Species:Human,Mouse,Rat
Gene Name:HPSE2
Synonyms:UFS; HPA2; HPR2; UFS1
Gene Synonyms:
Gene Full Name:heparanase 2 (inactive)
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a heparanase enzyme. The encoded protein is a endoglycosidase that degrades heparin sulfate proteoglycans located on the extracellular matrix and cell surface. This protein may be involved in biological processes involving remodeling of the extracellular matrix including angiogenesis and tumor progression. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

Tissue specificity:Widely expressed, with the highest expression in brain, mammary gland, prostate, small intestine, testis and uterus. In the central nervous system, expressed in the spinal chord, caudate nucleus, thalamus, substantia nigra, medulla oblongata, putamen and pons. In the urinary bladder, expressed in longitudinal and circular layers of detrusor muscle. Found both in normal and cancer tissues.
Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.
Background:
Molar Function:Binds heparin and heparan sulfate with high affinity, but lacks heparanase activity. Inhibits HPSE, possibly by competing for its substrates (in vitro).
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
