Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:When Chinese hamster K12 cells are starved of glucose, thesynthesis of several proteins, called glucose-regulated proteins(GRPs), is markedly increased. Hendershot et al. (1994) [PubMed8020977] pointed out that one of these, GRP78 (HSPA5), alsoreferred to as 'immunoglobulin heavy chain-binding protein' (BiP),is a member of the heat-shock protein-70 (HSP70) family and isinvolved in the folding and assembly of proteins in the endoplasmicreticulum (ER). Because so many ER proteins interact transientlywith GRP78, it may play a key role in monitoring protein transportthrough the cell.
Antigen:This HSPA5 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 541-568 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human HSPA5.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
