Gene Full Name:
Gene Infomation:This gene encodes a weak acid-active hyaluronidase. Theencoded protein is similar in structure to other more activehyaluronidases. Hyaluronidases degrade hyaluronan, one of the majorglycosaminoglycans of the extracellular matrix. Hyaluronan andfragments of hyaluronan are thought to be involved in cellproliferation, migration and differentiation. Although it waspreviously thought to be a lysosomal hyaluronidase that is activeat a pH below 4, the encoded protein is likely a GPI-anchored cellsurface protein. This hyaluronidase serves as a receptor for theoncogenic virus Jaagsiekte sheep retrovirus. The gene is one ofseveral related genes in a region of chromosome 3p21.3 associatedwith tumor suppression. This gene encodes two alternatively splicedtranscript variants which differ only in the 5' UTR.
Antigen:This HYAL2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 128-157 amino acids from the Central region of human HYAL2.

Buffer condition:Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Background:
Molar Function:
Western Blot:Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
