Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:Estrogen-related receptor alpha (ERRα/NR3B1) is an orphan nuclear receptor that controls transcription of genes involved in fatty acid oxidation, glucose metabolism, and mitochondrial biogenesis. The receptor protein contains a non-conserved amino terminal domain (NTD), a central zinc finger DNA binding domain, and a ligand-binding domain. The carboxy-terminal AF2 helix motif of ERRα contains binding sites for nuclear receptor coactivators PGC-1α and PGC-1β. Research studies demonstrate that ERRα transcriptional activity is regulated through phosphorylation and sumoylation within the NTD.

Storage:Store at +4°C short term. Store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.

Buffer condition:Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline , pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Background:Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.

Molar Function:

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
