Gene Synonyms:

Gene Full Name:intraflagellar transport 81

Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene, together with IFT74, forms a tubulin-binding module of intraflagellar transport complex B. This module is involved in transport of tubulin within the cilium, and the encoded protein is required for ciliogenesis. Mutations in this gene are a cause of short-rib polydactyly syndromes. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]

Antigen:Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 550-676 of human IFT81 (NP_054774.2).

Antigen Synonyms:Intraflagellar transport protein 81 homolog

Clonality:Polyclonal antibody

Tissue specificity:Highly expressed in testis, moderately in ovary, heart, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas, low in prostate, brain, placenta and lung and not detected in spleen, thymus, small intestine and colon. Isoform CDV-1R is abundantly expressed in testis.

Storage:Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.

Buffer condition:PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.

Background:

Molar Function:Component of the intraflagellar transport (IFT) complex B: together with IFT74, forms a tubulin-binding module that specifically mediates transport of tubulin within the cilium. Binds tubulin via its CH (calponin-homology)-like region. Required for ciliogenesis.

Western Blot:

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
