Gene Full Name:

Gene Infomation:The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theinterleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is produced byactivated macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolyticallyprocessed to its active form by caspase 1 (CASP1/ICE). Thiscytokine is an important mediator of the inflammatory response, andis involved in a variety of cellular activities, including cellproliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The induction ofcyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX2) by this cytokine in the centralnervous system (CNS) is found to contribute to inflammatory painhypersensitivity. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 familygenes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. [provided byRefSeq].

Antigen:This IL1B antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 148-174 amino acids from the Central region of human IL1B.

Stability: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Storage: Store at 4°C for frequent use. Stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
